Congressman Ted Deutch (FL-21) joined Rep. Steven Cohen (TN-09) and 33 other Members of Congress in sponsoring the Putting Our Veterans Back to Work Act of 2015. The legislation supports the Veterans Retraining Assistance Program (VRAP), which assists unemployed veterans in accessing educational and job training programs.

Although the Department of Veterans Affairs approved more than 126,000 applications for VRAP since 2011, only 76,000 were able to enroll before the program’s expiration in 2014. This legislation reauthorizes the program to continue through 2018.
