PRESS ADVISORY: Rep. Deutch to Hold Emergency Meeting of Veterans Advisory Councils
Tomorrow, Congressman Ted Deutch (FL-21) will host a joint emergency meeting of his Palm Beach County and Broward County Veterans Advisory Councils to update local veterans, advocates, caregivers, and local leaders on the investigation into veterans' access to care at VA facilities across America and here in South Florida. Congressman Deutch will discuss the Nationwide Access Audit's findings in Florida, summarize the veterans hearing held today by the Florida Congressional Delegation, and solicit feedback on the bipartisan reforms passed by the United States Senate this week. Attending the roundtable meeting will be representatives from the Palm Beach Vets Center, Broward Veterans Coalition, Stand Down / Faith, Hope, Love Charity Inc., Urban League, VFW, and several other organizations.
