Congressman Ted Deutch (FL-21) and Congresswoman Lois Frankel (FL-22) will hold a press conference at Florida Atlantic University this Friday on the detrimental impact that sequestration’s $1.5 billion in cuts to the National Institutes of Health will have on medical research, jobs, and our economy. Joining Reps. Deutch and Frankel will be researchers, students, and other officials from Florida Atlantic University whose research into a wide range of health sciences, from treatments for breast cancer to the detection of genetic disorders, has been supported by funding from the National Institutes of Health.
