Since 1789, the Inaugural ceremony has given Americans the opportunity to celebrate our democracy and the peaceful transition of power between administrations. With the COVID-19 pandemic the bipartisan Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies (JCCIC), has been working hard to make this year’s ceremony as safe, traditional and inclusive as possible. Recently, in consultation with medical and public health experts, the JCCIC has come to the difficult decision to limit attendance at the 59th Inaugural Ceremonies and we will be unable to provide tickets to this year’s ceremony. The committee has also stated that they will begin exploring options that will allow communities to watch the ceremonies online, in addition to the traditional televised national broadcast. I apologize for any inconvenience this recent decision may have caused you. If you have any further questions regarding this year’s ceremony, please feel reach out to my office at 202-225-3001 (DC) or 561-470-5440 (FL). If you wish to receive updates on this and other issues from my office, please submit your email address below. Thank you.
